Tun Leong Yew Koh was the first Tuan Yang Terutama Yang Di-Pertua Melaka. He was appointed on 31st August 1957 after our country achieves independence. He is also a social, economy and popular Chinese community political affairs leader. Tun Leong Yew Koh also plays a vital role in the effort to achieve Malaya's independence.
