Social Activities

              As a Malacca state supreme ruler, Tun Hj. Abdul Malek emphasizes in state development in the aspect of economics, politics and social.

              His involvement in social activities cannot be denied because during his service, there were execellent progresses achieved especially in rural area development. In education field for instances, Tun had build secondary schools in several location, such as in Bandar Besar, Alor Gajah and Jasin. Tun provides enough education to locals and giving citizens a opportunity to increase their standard of living.

              In agricultural field, Tun was very mindful to those farmers who face water problems for rice cultivation. Various effort has been implemented to tackle this problem including collaborating with local authority in handing the related issues.

              In field of sports and recreation, Tun Hj. Abdul Malek does not let go the opportunity to participate. Between sports that he has joined was golf. Tun has become leader of Malacca state team when he competed against Ministers Cabinet and members of diplomatist which headed by the Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj.
