As other individuals, Tun Datuk Seri Utama Mohd. Khalil has his own hobby. Although engaging with his daily work, he still has the time to do recreation activities. The sports activities he favored were to swim, golf and jet ski.

Tun has an artistic soul. He is a talented artist and also keen with music. In free time, he also love to go for fishing.
