Tun Datuk Seri Major Mohd. Khalil bin Yaakob is the sixth Tuan Yang Terutama Yang di-Pertua Negeri Melaka, replacing Tun Datuk Seri Utama Syed Ahmad Al-Haj bin Syed Mahmud Shahabudin, who has completed his service on 31st May 2004.
