This honour was instituted in the year 1978 by the government State Of Malacca. This honour is conferred to individual who has contribute their highly commendable services to the Malacca state. DMSM's award recipient is called as ’Datuk’ while his wife as ’Datin’.
This award is presented as a sash. The award comprises of a star degree, and a degree badge.
